paul's letter to the romans is the first reading and in it he says, that we"...exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator"
this is the sin of adam and eve and effects are still with us.
how often do we see ourselves giving more credence to a ideology-- whether political or religious-- than God himself? is not this a form of exchanging the truth for a lie?
can we see this in our society and how this form of secularism affects us as a community?
